OUR INTEREST GROUPS

Groups are at the heart of the U3A. Participating in or leading a group is a great way of practising your preferred activity, learning new things or teaching others (or indeed both – one of the founding tenets of the U3A is that the learners teach and the teachers learn, and there is no distinction between them) as well as meeting interesting people with similar interests.

Before joining your first group please click to see the responsibilities expected from individuals who join the groups.

We have many Interest and Activity Groups, as listed below. To find out more information about joining a group, please contact the Group Leader via the Contact page.

All the groups are listed below and you are welcome to scroll down the page to see what is on offer. If you simply want to find out whether there is a group for tennis, for example, you can also click on the appropriate tab (S to Z) at the top of the table.

At the time of writing we do not have a tennis group so if you would like to pass on your own expertise and enthusiasm by organising a new group for this or any other activity, please contact the Group Co-ordinator via the Contact page for more details: the duties of a group leader are not onerous.
